How to reach the Congress Venue
By plane
Florence International Airport "Amerigo Vespucci (www.aeroporto.firenze.it) is located 4 km (2.5 miles) from Florence and it can be reached by taxi (20 minutes) or by the shuttle bus Vola in bus, a special connection service from/to the Vespucci Airport and Santa Maria Novella train station, jointly run by ATAF and SITA. Pisa International Airport "Galileo Galilei" (www.pisa-airport.it) is located in Pisa, 60 km (38 miles) from Florence and it can be reached in 1 hour by train from Santa Maria Novella train station, in Florence: three trains run every hour for Pisa C.le and Pisa Airport from 06.00 a.m. to 22.00 p.m.
By car
An efficient motorway network connects Florence to the rest of Italy and Europe. Firenze Fiera is just 4 km (2.5 miles) from the main Italian motorway (the A1: Autostrada delsole - Exit Firenze Nord).
Two large parking areas, for 600and 800 cars, respectively, are just 100 metres away and located under the Santa Maria Novella train Station.
By train
There are 3 train stations in Florence:
Santa Maria Novella Central Station: located at 80 metres from Palazzo dei Congressi
Rifredi Station: located at around 2 km (1.2 miles) away
Campo di Marte Station: located at 1,5 km (1 mile)
Public transportation
All town buses stop in Piazza Stazione (Santa Maria Novella train Station), therefore walking distance from Palazzo dei Congressi.

On site the Secretariat will be open for participants throughout the Congress (from 12:00 to 18:30 on Febraury 11 and from 7:30 to 19:00 on February 12 and 13.

Congress badges
A name badge will be provided on-site with the Congress kit. Wearing this badge is required in order to enter the session rooms.

Some coffee stations will be available to all participants in the Exhibition Area.
Lunches
Lunches are included in the registration fee and will be served from 12:00 to 13:00 on February 12 and from 12:30 to 13:30 in the Exhibition Area
Social Programme
Opening Ceremony and Welcome Cocktail
The Opening Ceremony and Welcome Cocktail will take place on February 11 at Palazzo dei Congressi and at Palazzo Vecchio, Salone dei Cinquecento (invitation required), with the participation of Local and Academic Authorities.
Farewell Dinner – Tuscan Night
The Farewell Dinner will be held on February February 13 at Loft (Piazza del Carmine, 2r) For all participants (incl. accompanying persons) the price has been fixed at € 50,00 per person. Requests on site are based on ticket availability.
