A Multimedia Slide Centre is located in the Congress Venue.
ONLY PC DATA PROJECTION IS AVAILABLE DURING THE
CONGRESS
Each room is provided with a laptop. Therefore the use of one’s
laptop is not allowed.
Should speakers have their personal laptop or CD Rom or USB key,
they are kindly requested to go to the Multimedia Slide Centre to have
their presentation copied. The presentation will be then forwarded
through a LAN network from the Multimedia Slide Centre directly to
the computer in the presentation room.
We kindly recommend speakers to contact the Multimedia Slide
Centre the day before presentation.
If this is not possible, please respect the following time schedule:
> 45 minutes before for Power Point presentation on CD Rom or USB key
> 1 hour before for presentations on Personal Computer

Free Paper Sessions are held from Tuesday, December 2 to Friday,

| Guidelines for oral free paper speakers |
> locate your Session Room in due time
> find yourself in the Room assigned for presentation at least 10
minutes before the beginning of the Session to meet the Chairmen
> you will have 10 minutes at disposal for the speech and 5 for
discussion
> respect the timing allowed for your presentation
> all presentations, discussions and questions must be in English
> please note that the presenting author must be registered to the
Symposium to give his/her presentation.
Instructions for power point presentations
> It is absolutely necessary that the files of videos and pictures are
in the same folder of the Power Point presentation; moreover,
they need to be copied in the folder before they are inserted in the
presentation.
> Should non standard sources be used (i.e. which are not included
in Windows XP SP2 and Office 2003), please bring these sources
with you and reach the slide centre in due course to inform the
engineers about this (at least six hours before the presentation).
> The videos included in the presentation shall have the following
extensions: .avi, .mpeg,.wmv (.avi can be used as well).
Please use the following codec: DivX, Xvid. Videos made by
means of codec which are proprietary of professional cameras
cannot be viewed.
> Just one video for each slide is advisable.
> The videos to be used in the presentation should not be more
than 50 MB each. Should their size be greater, please bring a
copy of the videos on VHS, Beta, DVD or other media to the slide
centre, by previous agreement with the engineers (at least six
hours before the presentation).
> The size of power point presentations should not be greater than
50 MB, videos excluded.
> Simple slides, without too much animation should be used.
> To get a light presentation, please use .gif and .jpg pictures
(different types of extensions will be accepted as well, provided
that they are recognised by Power Point).
> To make the download of the presentations at the slide centre
easier, CDs-Rom, floppy discs, zip discs and USB drive are
advisable. However, presentations can be downloaded from one’s
notebook at the slide centre, provided that the persons concerned
come there at least 3 hours before the presentation.
> The version which is presently used for presentations is Power
Point, Version 2003. Speakers whose presentations will not abide
by the previous “suggestions” are kindly requested to get in
contact with the engineers at the slide centre at least six hours
before their presentations.

Posters
All participants are invited to come and view the posters which are
displayed in the Foyer Area on the back of the registration desk. |
| Guidelines for oral poster display |
> Your poster has been given a number.
The poster has to be fixed on the poster board marked with the
same number.
> Accepted posters will be displayed in a dedicated area. Please,
check the number assigned to your presentation upon your arrival.
> Poster size must be cm. 90 (width) x cm. 150 (height) and the
format must be VERTICAL.
> Posters must be hanged on from 08.00 to 09.00 on December 3
for display and removed from 18.00 to 19.00 of December 4.
> You are kindly asked to stand by your Poster from 10.30 to 11.00
and from 14.30 to 15.00 on December 3 and 4 for possible
questions by the Congress delegates. Otherwise, please hang a
note to inform when you will be available.
> All presentations, discussions and questions must be in English.
> Pins and tape will be at your disposal at the Congress Venue,
in case you need them.
> The Organizing Secretariat is not responsible for posters that have
not been collected at the end of the Congress. Posters not
collected will be descarded by the Organizing Secretariat.
> Please note that the presenting author must be registered to the
Congress. |

| Italian CME Credits |
The Congress has been awarded with nr. 19 total credits.
At the moment of registration, each participant is given the evaluation
form and the learning questionnaire of the scientific programme.
These forms and questionnaires must be filled in and returned to the
Registration Desk. Electronic tags are used to record the CME credits.
The electronic readers are placed at the entrance of the Congress
Centre. After having collected their badge, Italian participants will
receive the electronic tag which will be instantly associated to the
registrant name on the badge. It is sufficient to pass through the
electronic portals located at the entrance of the Congress Centre to
have the credits recorded.
To obtain credits, Italian participants must:
> record both the entrance and the exit of each Meeting day
> return the electronic tag to the Organizing Secretariat at the end
of the Congress (Registration Desk)
> return the evaluation form duly filled in to the Registration Desk
at the end of the Congress
> fill in the learning questionnaire and return it to the Registration
Desk
The personal data must be compulsorily indicated since required by
the Italian Ministry of Health.
Please note that should you loose or fail to return the tag, you will
be charged € 10,00 by the Organizing Secretariat.
For further information about CME procedures, please inquiry at the
Registration Desk.

| LUNCHEON PANELS |
The participation in the Luncheon Panels is reserved only to
participants duly registered to the Congress and it is restricted to a
maximum of 150 people each, because of the limited number of
available seats in each room.
You will find the coupons of the Luncheon Panels inside your badge.
The coupons are distinguished by different colours according to the
day and will be collected at the entrance of the room before the
beginning of the Luncheon Panels (until there are seats available).
