GENERAL INFORMATION
THE SEVENTEETH EUROPEAN MEETING ON HYPERTENSION and its Satellite
Symposia will be held at the MIC - Milano Convention Center - Pavilion 17 (entrance
from Gattamelata Gate - Gate 2).
Designed by architect Pierluigi Nicolin, the MIC - Milano Convention Center is located
on the first and second levels of Pavilion 17 in the Fiera Milano area.
HOW TO GET TO FIERA MILANO GROUNDS If you're coming by car - if you're heading to Milan from the by-pass free-ways
(Tangenziali), follow signs to the large parking lots of Cascina Gobba, San Donato,
Famagosta, Lampugnano which correspond to the homonymous subway
stations.
If you're coming by train - from Stazione Centrale or Stazione Garibaldi take Metro
Line Green 2, direction Famagosta. Get off at Cadorna-Triennale to take Line Red 1,
direction Molino Dorino. Get off at Amendola Fiera or Lotto Fiera 2.
Alternative route Metro Line yellow 3, direction San Donato. Get off at Duomo to
take Line Red 1, direction Molino Dorino. Get off at Amendola Fiera or Lotto Fiera
2.
North Railway Trains P.le Cadorna Subway Line Red 1, direction Molino Dorino. Get
off at Amendola Fiera or Lotto Fiera 2.
If you're coming by plane - a public service line is available (bus 73) at the Airport in
the National Arrivals' gate area. Downtown terminus in P.zza San Babila - next to the
Line Red 1 metro station. Take direction Molino Dorino. Get off at Amendola Fiera
or Lotto Fiera 2. From/to Malpensa: Malpensa express train from Malpensa airport
to terminus (Stazione Centrale).
City transportation - You can also reach Fiera Milano by bus.
• bus no. 78, stop at via Colleoni;
• tramway no. 1 and no. 33 and bus no. 57 and 61, stops at the corner of Corso
Sempione and Via Domodossola;
• bus no. 68, stop at V.le Berengario.
SECRETARIAT AND REGISTRATION DESK
The pre-registration and on-site registration desk will be open during the following
hours:
ADMISSION
Participants are kindly requested to wear their badge during all congress activities
and social events. The badge will admit to the scientifi c sessions, exhibition area,
coffee breaks and lunches.
Lost badges will only be replaced against the payment of an handling fee and upon
proof of original registration.
LANGUAGE
The official language of the Meeting is English. Simultaneous translation will not
be provided.
ATTENDANCE CERTIFICATES
Attendance certificates will be delivered on request to all regularly registered
participants at the end of the meeting.
LUNCHES
During the Meeting, on June 16, 17 and 18, 2007 lunches will be served free of
charge to participants wearing congress badges. Three lunch coupons in different
colours will be given to participants registered at the congress and collected by our
internal staff.
Kindly note that accompanying persons are not admitted.
VISA REQUIREMENTS
Participants requiring a VISA for entry to Italy may request assistance to the
Organizing Secretariat.
A customized invitation letter for VISA purposes may be downloaded from the
Congress website: (as soos as available).
Such an invitation is intended to help potential delegates to obtain a VISA. Please
note, however, that this is not a commitment on the ESH behalf to provide any
financial support.
INSURANCE
Congress organizers cannot accept liability form personal injuries or for loss of or
damage to property belonging to congress participants, either during or as a result
of the Congress. Please check the validity of your own insurance.

TRANSPORT TICKETS
All regularly registered participants will be given a transportation pass valid as free
ticket for complete public transport system in the city of Milan (trams and subway
trains) for the time of June 16-18, 2007.
EXHIBITION AND SPONSORING
An exhibition of pharmaceuticals, technical and research products will take place
in the Congress venue throughout the Meeting. Additional opportunities for

PROGRAMME CHANGES
The programme information published within this Announcement is correct at
the time of going to press. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to alter the
programme at any time.
NO-SMOKING
Smoking in the Meeting area is not allowed.
