The Lisbon Congress Centre, down by the River Tagus near the historic buildings of the picturesque Belém quarter, is located a few minutes away from the city centre in an area served by many alternative means of transportation.

To access the Congress Centre from the city you can use the following public transport:
• Trams n. 15;
• Buses n. 14, 27, 28, 43, 49, 51, 56;
• Trains from Cais do Sodré to Cascais and stop in Alcantara Station or Belém Station;
• Taxis are also available from the airport and city centre.

Secretariat and Registration Desk
The secretariat desk will be at the participants’ disposal at the congress venue from June 24 through June 28, 2006 according to the following schedule:

FOR GROUPS: Saturday, June 24: 8.00 to 14.00 hrs.

FOR INDIVIDUALS:
Saturday, June 24: 15.00 to 18.00 hrs.
Sunday, June 25: 8.00 to 18.00 hrs.

Admission
Participants are requested to wear their badges during the congress activities and social events. The badge gives admission to scientific works, exhibition area, welcome cocktail.

Congress Language
The official language is English. No simultaneous translation will be provided during the Congress.

Certificates of Attendance
Certificates of attendance will be given upon request to all registered participants at the secretariat desk on June 28, 2006.

Exhibition
Please do not forget to visit the technical, pharmaceutical and publishing exhibition which will take place in the Exhibition hall (Pavilion 4, first floor).

Snack Lunches
On June 25, 26 and 27 a snack lunch will be served to registered participants in the catering area of the congress venue, Pavilion 5. Participants will receive coupons inside their badges.
Congress lunches are included in the registration fee and cannot be purchased separately.

Travel Requirements to Portugal (Visas)
Nationals of the European Community, Switzerland, Andorra, Liechtenstein and Malta only require a valid Identity Card or Passport. For most countries outside Europe, a valid passport is enough. Some countries, however, still require Visa. Please check with your travel agency or with the Portuguese Embassy or Consulate in your country. Granting Visas may take up to 8 weeks or more. Participants requiring Visa to Portugal may ask the Organizing Secretariat AISC & MGR an official letter of invitation which will not imply from the Organization any obligation of assuming financial support.

• 20% reduction on all Business class fares (Top Executive);

Opening Ceremony and Welcome Cocktail - Saturday, June 24, 2006
The Opening Ceremony will be held on Saturday, June 24 at the congress venue, at 18.00 hrs.
At the end of the Ceremony, a Welcome Cocktail will follow.

Gala Dinner - Tuesday, June 27, 2006
A Social Dinner for congress participants will be organized on Tuesday, June 27, at 21.00 hrs.
The fee per person is Euro 92,00 (VAT 21% included).
The dinner will take place at the Restaurant Estufa Real, located in the premises of the wonderful Lisboa Botanical Garden.
The Ceremony of IUA and I.A.S.A.C.O. Prizes Awards will close the Dinner.
