| The main scientific programme is held during three days (June 13, 14 and 15, 2006)
and consists of State-of-the Art Lectures, Topical Workshops,
Breakfast Workshops,
Working Groups, Workshops, Debates and
Teaching Sessions
(European Hypertension Specialist Programme). ABSTRACT SESSIONS
New record this year! More than 1.500 abstracts were submitted for this year’s
Congress. Accepted abstracts will be presented as oral and poster presentations: Parallel Oral Sessions
There will be three-four parallel sessions in the morning and afternoon of each
day. Each presentation will be given 15 minutes (10 for presentation and 5 for
discussion). Poster Presentations
There will be poster sessions during lunch-time of each day (June 13, 14 and
15, 2006) from 12.30 to 15.30 hrs. During that time posters should be attended
by the Authors. E-Poster presentation
As in 2005, this year too accepted posters will be also displayed on video screens,
conveniently located at different sites of the Conference Center. These multimedial poster presentations (briefly indicated as E-Posters) will be
accessible throughout the duration of the ESH 2006 Congress, so that registered participants will be able to view posters related to daily sessions and days
before (not session for the day after). State-of the Art Lectures
Will be given during some of the sessions with oral presentations and Plenary
Sessions. Plenary Sessions
Will be held in the afternoon of each day (June 13, 14 and 15, 2006) Teaching Sessions
Will take place every day from 12.45 to 14.15 hrs.
The aim is to have experts presenting and discussing aspects of immediate
relevance to clinical practice.
Moreover, this year, the ESH Working Group’s Workshops will be included in
the Main Meeting programme.
In fact, they will take place together with Teaching Seminar Sessions. Workshops
Breakfast Workshops
Will take place on June 13, 14 and 15 between 8.00 and 9.00 hrs. There will
be three parallel Breakfast Workshops every morning.
The aim is to complement the presentations of original research with a number
of pre-structured events that addresses problems of methodological and
clinical interest in the field of hypertension. A brief review of the problems by
two experts will be followed by a general discussion. Topical Workshops
Will take place on June 13, 14 and 15 during the day. “HOW TO” SESSIONS
There are two “How to” Sessions held every day, from June 13 to 15, 2006. NURSING PROGRAMME
The ESH Congress acknowledges the contribution of nurses to patient care.
Accordingly, one special session will be presenting focusing on nursing research.
This session will be held on June 15, 2006. |
