All tours offered in this program have been arranged exclusively for delegates and their guests. The address and definite time of departure will be confirmed 15 days prior to tour.
Deadline for reservations: April 30 th , 2004

  • The organizers reserve the right to cancel a tour should there be insufficient interest.
  • Cancellations of the registration to a tour must be notified in writing to the Organizing Secretariat. Refunds will be made after the Conference, according to the following cancellation conditions:
    Before April 30, 2004 – full refund of the fee, After April 30, 2004 – no refund

POST-CONGRESS TOUR A
FLORENCE - ROME (June 16 – June 20)

June 16: departure in the afternoon by train for Florence, a city which is considered by many people one of the most beautiful in the world. Dinner and accommodation in a three-star-hotel.
June 17: visit of Florence, with all its world greatest artistic treasures. A guide will provide basic historical and artistic information concerning each of the monuments or places visited. Dinner in a typical restaurant.
June 18: departure for Montalcino, a nice Tuscany village where you will be visiting the vineyards and tasting the famous wine "Brunello", seeing the extraordinary Sant'Antimo Abbey and the Rock of Montalcino. Arrival in Rome in the evening. Dinner and stay in a three-star-hotel.
June 19: visit of Rome by coach. Dinner in a typical restaurant.
June 20: half-day-visit of Rome.

Participants will provide directly for their departures.

Cost per person: Euro 1.100,00 per person in double room.
Supplement for single room: Euro 200,00.
The tour includes: train (Milan/Florence; Florence/Rome; II class), hotels (4 nights in three-star-hotels), 4 dinners (with transfer by coach when necessary), 3 lunches, sightseeing in Florence, Montalcino and Rome by coach, guide, tour leader, entrance fees, Europe Assistance insurance.

POST-CONGRESS TOUR B
NAPLES – POMPEI – ERCOLANO (June 17 – June 19)
June 17: flight Milan/Naples. In the afternoon, guided visit of the city by coach. Dinner in a typical restaurant and accommodation in a four-star-hotel.
June 18: full-day visit of Pompei, one of the most important commercial centers during Roman age: covered by several meters of volcanic ash and pumice, it was discovered in 1600; and Ercolano, a residential town buried in ashes by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Guided visit to the archaeological excavations. Back to Naples.
Dinner in a restaurant on the seaside.
June 19: visit to the Certosa di San Martino. Snack lunch. Flight back to Milan.

Cost per person: Euro 800,00 per person in double room.
Supplement for single room: Euro 100,00.
The tour includes: return flight Milan/Naples), hotel (2 nights in a four-star-hotel), 2 dinners (with transfer by coach when necessary), 3 lunches, sightseeing by coach, guide, tour leader, entrance fees, Europe Assistance insurance.

POST-CONGRESS TOUR C
VENICE (June 17 – June 19)
June 17: arrival in Venice by train. Lunch and accommodation in a three-star-hotel.
In the afternoon, led by a guide, strolling through the narrow streets, you will arrive at the majestic San Mark’s Square. Visit of the Basilica, the Doge’s Palace and shopping tour. Dinner at the typical Il Giardinetto Restaurant. June 18: guided tour of the Ghetto Quarter where, since the XVI century, the Jewish people used to live. Visit to the Synagogues, the Gothic Church of Madonna dell’Orto and the interesting environs. Then departure by private boat to Torcello, first island inhabited in the lagoon, where still stands the Romanesque basilica of the XI century. Lunch at the restaurant Trono di Attilia. Visit of Burano, famous for its colorful little houses of fishermen and for the art of lace. Dinner free. June 19: Visit to the Frari Church, built in the XIV century (masterpieces by Tiziano, Bellini, Longhena) and the “Scuola Grande di S. Rocco” famous for the series of paintings by J. Tintoretto. Free time. Back to Milan.
