OPENING CEREMONY

All Conference participants are invited to the AIDS IMPACT 2003 Opening Ceremony, which will take place in the main conference hall at h 14.00 on Monday 7 July.

 

PLENARY SESSIONS

Some of the world's most important researchers, community leaders and policy specialists were invited to give plenary lectures during the Conference.
Invited Speakers will be allowed a twenty-minute presentation.

 

PARALLEL SESSIONS

Special scientific sessions will be run in parallel on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Speakers will have 10 minutes for their oral presentation and 5 minutes for discussion.

 

THEMATIC SESSIONS

Specific sessions devoted to particularly important subjects. They will be organized in Round Table and Bridging Session on Tuesday 8 July and Wednesday 9 July
• A Round Table is organized for discussion between experts and participants about a specific topic.
• A Bridging Session is also included in the Programme to enhance the dialogue among tracks and participants and allow the opportunity to share knowledge and experience.

Note: Participants attending Parallel and Thematic sessions will meet their chairs before the relevant session (time and place will be advised).

 

POSTER SESSION

All accepted posters will be displayed for three days (Tuesday, Wednesday and Tuesday).
Posters' sizes: cm 90 base x 120/150 height.
Set-up:
Posters should be mounted on Monday, 7 July h 17.30 and h 18.30
Dismantling:
Posters will be removed by the authors themselves, after the end of the Conference on Thursday 10 July, from h 13.30.
The authors are requested to be on-hand nearby the poster area, during the snack-lunch time.

CLOSING CEREMONY

The Closing Ceremony will take place in the Washington room, on Thursday July 10, h13.00 - 13.30.

 

INVITED SPEAKERS PAPERS ON AIDS CARE JOURNAL

A special ‘AIDS CARE’ issue (edited by Taylor & Francis) will include most of the invited speakers’ texts. Participants are invited to ask information at the AIDS CARE desk.

 

ABSTRACTS

All the accepted abstracts of the 10’ oral presentations are included in this Programme to be distributed to all the participants.

 

AUDIO-VISUAL EQUIPMENT

Overhead, single slide projection and projection by computer are available in each room.

Computer presentations can be reviewed in the Audiovisuals Testing room: authors will bring their floppy or CD presentation (with the name on it) to the assistant at the room.
Slides should be mounted on a standard 50 mm frame, ordered by the authors and given to the Audiovisuals Testing room at least two hours before the beginning of the session.

 

SCHOLARSHIPS

AIDS IMPACT has made a strong commitment to support the participation of persons representing diverse countries. 

 

OFFICIAL LANGUAGE

English is the official language of the Conference. However, simultaneous translation into Italian will be available for the Plenary Sessions.
Some thematic and parallel sessions will be provided by consecutive interpreting.
