• Check-in procedure:
Each participant must personally check-in at the Registration Desk to pick up a conference
kit and badge before attending any Conference Session.

 

EXHIBITION

During the Conference commercial and non profit making organizations will exhibit in the main Conference area, next to the Washington room and the Conference Secretariat.

 

MEALS

Coffee breaks and snack lunches will be served in the Conference Area. They are not included in the Registration Fee so participants are kindly required to reserve their meals at the Secretariat Desk on their registration on Monday 7 July (n°1 coffee break coupon: € 4,50; n° 1 snack lunch coupon: € 16)

 

BADGE

Participants will be given a specific identification badge upon registration. They are requested to wear it at all times for admission to the scientific sessions.

A quiet room will be available at the 1st floor of Milan Marriott Hotel during the Conference.

First Aid facilities will be available during the Conference.

Neither the organisers nor the Conference Venue can take any responsibility for injury or damage involving persons or property during the event. Participants are advised to take out their own personal insurance

ABOUT MILAN

Milan is famous for its many interesting places to see, such as the beautiful Dome, the churchof Sant’Ambrogio and the rich Pinacoteca Ambrosiana.
Frequent are also art exhibitions, hold in picturesque places such as the Picture Gallery of Brera and The Royal Palace.
Worth a visit is the central Castello Sforzesco, surrounded by its wonderful gardens. 
There are many museums and exhibitions you can visit while you stay in Milan. 
Among the others, these are particularly interesting: Civic Museum of Natural History, National Museum of Science and Technology, Poldi Pezzoli Museum, Pinacoteca Ambrosiana.
Night life is also extremely lively: every kind of cafιs, pubs, restaurants, disco pubs and lounge bars is available to all tastes.

HOW TO GET TO MILAN

BY PLANE
Milan has two international airports: Malpensa and Linate

• Malpensa is located at 40 minutes by car from Milan and provides connections to and from all the most important towns in the world and direct daily flights with the main European and Italian cities. Malpensa is easily linked to Milan by the Malpensa Express Train connecting the airport with Cadorna railway station and subway (Cost of the ticket: € 9,00).
Malpensa Shuttle is a convenient bus taking less than one hour to reach the Central Railway Station; it runs every 20 minutes (Cost of the ticket: approx.
€ 4,13)

Linate is located at 15 minutes by car from Milan and provides connections to and from all the most important Italian towns and some European ones. It is linked to the city centre by Bus 73 that runs every 10 minutes (cost of the ticket: € 1,00)

BY TRAIN
Milan is well connected with all major Italian and European cities.
The main Railway Station is Stazione Centrale. It is located at 4 Km from the town center and it is connected by subway (the Yellow Line or Line 3 and the Green Line, also known as Line 2).

BY CAR
Four main toll-motorways reach Milan:

Motorway A1 linking Milan with Bologna, Florence and Rome

Motorway A4 connecting Milan with Turin and Venice

Motorway A7 linking Milan with Genoa
•
Motorway A8 - A9 connecting Milan with Switzerland

Taxi service is always available day and night at taxi ranks just outside the exits of the airports/railway station. The fare includes a fix rate of € 2,58 plus € 0,65 for each Km or € 20,66 for each hour. Night service/additional baggage imply extra fees.
